The 29th World Conference on Therapeutic Communities (WFTC), organized by FEBRACT in partnership with FLACT and WFTC, was a global milestone for the strengthening of therapeutic communities. Since 1987, when the first Latin American Conference on Therapeutic Communities was held in Brazil, these institutions have promoted the growth and development of the movement in Brazil, Latin America and the world.
Held at Expo Dom Pedro, in Campinas (SP), the event was attended by representatives from more than 18 countries, 16 Brazilian states and around 500 people, consolidating itself as a space for exchanges and learning about mental health, rehabilitation and public policies.
Campinas, located approximately 90 km northwest of the capital of São Paulo, is an important economic and technological hub in Brazil. With an estimated population of over 1 million inhabitants, the city stands out for its modern infrastructure, renowned universities and a diversified service sector.
